Last week, the Enactus Guelph team travelled to Montreal to compete at the Enactus Canada National Exposition, joining some of the top student entrepreneurial teams from across the country. The event brought together post-secondary institutions from across Canada to showcase innovative projects focused on social, environmental, and economic impact.

Coming off an impressive year that included three regional championships, Enactus Guelph competed in four national competitions, presenting the impact and progress of projects such as seQUESTer, in collaboration with iGEM Guelph, as well as Brewed Beauty and ReduX. Each project highlighted the team’s commitment to sustainability, entrepreneurship, and creating meaningful community impact.
Although the team did not capture a national title this year, the experience of competing at the national level provided valuable opportunities for growth and learning. Facing some of the strongest competition in the country challenged the team to continue adapting, improving, and pushing their projects even further.
One of the biggest accomplishments of the week came in the Team Competition, where Enactus Guelph advanced to the semi-finals out of 49 institutions nationwide. The achievement placed the team among the top programs in Canada and brought them one step closer to the opportunity to represent Canada at the Enactus World Cup. Reaching the semi-final stage reflected the dedication, collaboration, and countless hours of work invested by team members throughout the year.
The team also expressed gratitude to the Lang School of Business and Economics for supporting the opportunity to compete on the national stage. Special thanks were extended to Co-Presidents Kiyan Ladhani-Watson and Daniel Grygorachyk, as well as faculty advisor Ruben Burga for their leadership and continued support throughout the year.

As the team returns from Nationals, Enactus Guelph leaves the competition more motivated than ever for the future. With new experiences, stronger connections, and valuable lessons learned, the organization is already looking ahead to the opportunities and impact that next year will bring.
